Tucked away in the lively V&A Waterfront is a statement in luxury: Princess Eve, a craft built for king's offering exclusivity in a maritime getaway. Whether it is a tranquil sail down the Atlantic shoreline or a grande voyage up the Cape's West Coast, this yacht offers a never-to-be-forgotten journey.
Picture a beautiful morning at the busy V&A Waterfront, where shoppers gallivant with bags in hand, stopping to take in the breathtaking view. Some sip expertly brewed coffees at waterside cafés, their eyes drawn to the dazzling sea framed by the iconic Table Mountain. That lively atmosphere will get taken to the next level as you step onto the Princess Eve-a stunning 85-foot yacht redefining sophistication.
It is an elevated experience right from arrival. The attentive crew welcomes you with a chilled drink and a warm towel, setting the stage for an exceptional adventure. A sip of Hazendal Cap Classique perfectly complements the elegant surroundings, though the yacht also offers a curated selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic refreshments to suit every taste.
As you explore, Princess Eve's grandeur unfolds. The largest resident yacht in South Africa boasts unique features-from the rooftop Jacuzzi with ocean views to the indoors opulent lounge wrapped in rich leather. Outside, there is the shaded dining area at the back that invites alfresco dining, and on good days, the crew may just fire up the barbie. For the adrenaline junkies, there are jet skis, a high-speed rib boat, and an array of water sports gear for endless fun on the water.
Princess Eve caters for every event from brief coastal cruises to multi-day charters. For overnight guests, four sumptuously appointed cabins each have a private bathroom and bed linen in luxuriously soft fabrics to accommodate up to eight passengers. Yet, there's little resisting the magic of a sunset cruise down the Atlantic Seaboard. The yacht slides smoothly from the busy Waterfront, with landmarks such as the Swing Bridge and Clock Tower passing under the bow on its journey out to open ocean, glass of bubbly in hand and gourmet snacks by your side.
All the while, as the yacht cuts across, there are often wildlife appearances: dolphins and seals playing in waves create a touch of magic to it all. Meanwhile, the dramatic views of Table Mountain, Signal Hill, and Lion's Head slowly give way to the serene beaches of Clifton, creating a breathtaking backdrop.
Eventually, Princess Eve comes back into the bustling harbour but the memory of this unique experience remains. A cruise on board is much more than a luxury yachting trip-it's an intense bonding with Cape Town's natural beauty and its coastal charm, a story one would remember for years to come after the ride ends.
The yacht can accommodate up to 3 -4 crew members and 8 guests during the day, while overnight stays are limited to 8 guests.
